Candid-B Lotion is used to treat fungal skin infections accompanied by inflammation, redness, and itching, such as ringworm, jock itch, athlete's foot, and candidiasis. It helps clear the fungal infection while soothing inflamed skin.
It contains clotrimazole, an antifungal, and beclomethasone, a corticosteroid. Apply a thin layer to the affected clean, dry skin as prescribed. Continue using the lotion for the full treatment duration recommended by your doctor, even if the skin appears cleared, to prevent the infection from returning.
Keeping the skin dry and clean supports effective recovery from fungal infections. Focus on moist areas like skin folds and the groin, wear loose, breathable cotton clothing, and avoid sharing personal items like towels to prevent re-infection.
Before using this lotion, inform your doctor about any pre-existing skin conditions, allergies, or other skin products being used. Disclose if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Speak to your doctor if severe skin irritation or worsening symptoms occur. Do not use a steroid-containing combination for uncomplicated ringworm or another fungal infection unless specifically directed, because the steroid can mask or worsen infection.
