Betacard-AM Tablet is utilised for managing the following health conditions:

• Lowering high blood pressure

• Reducing the risk of fatal and non-fatal cardiovascular events, primarily strokes and myocardial infarctions

• Providing symptomatic relief for chronic stable angina

• Relieving symptoms of vasospastic angina, also known as Prinzmetal's or variant angina

• Assisting in the management of hemodynamically stable patients with definite or suspected acute myocardial infarction to decrease cardiovascular mortality

Here's how you should use Betacard-AM Tablet:

• The tablet should be swallowed whole with a glassful of water.

• Steer clear of crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Ensure not to exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• It's crucial not to discontinue this medicine without getting advice from your doctor first.

Betacard-AM Tablet is taken orally.

Betacard-AM Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This component is a calcium channel blocker. It works by reducing the influx of calcium ions into the smooth muscle cells in your blood vessels and heart. By doing so, it helps relax and widen your blood vessels, thus reducing blood pressure.

• Atenolol (50 mg): Classified as a cardioselective beta-blocker, atenolol operates by blocking certain natural chemicals such as epinephrine from acting on the heart and blood vessels. This action helps lower your heart rate and blood pressure, thereby reducing strain on your heart.

The combination of these two components provides an enhanced effect in managing blood pressure and improving symptoms of angina.
