Amlopin AT Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and stable angina (chest pain). It is a combination medicine containing amlodipine and atenolol, and belongs to the classes of calcium channel blockers and beta-blockers.
By controlling blood pressure and heart rate together, this medicine helps reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke. Take this tablet as prescribed at the same time each day, with or without food, and continue taking it even if you feel well. Use the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
A low-salt diet, regular physical activity within your limits, a healthy weight and limiting alcohol support heart health alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you have asthma, diabetes or a very slow heart rate before starting this medicine, and about any other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report any side effects that persist or become serious. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly or unless your doctor advises you to do so, as this can worsen angina or trigger heart problems, and any dose change should be made gradually under medical supervision.
