Amlodac AT Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and to prevent chest pain (angina). It combines amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, with atenolol, a beta-blocker, and controlling these helps lower the workload on the heart and reduce the risk of heart-related complications.
Amlodipine relaxes and widens blood vessels, while atenolol steadies the heart rate and reduces the heart's workload, together giving more complete blood pressure control and reducing the frequency of angina attacks.
Take this tablet daily, with or without food, at the same time each day as your doctor prescribes, and continue even if you feel well.
Do not stop this medicine suddenly, as this can worsen angina or trigger heart problems; any dose change should be made gradually under a doctor's supervision. Tell your doctor if you have asthma or a very slow heart rate.
