BELATIN M Tablet is used to treat symptoms of seasonal allergies and may help manage allergic asthma symptoms. It combines bilastine, an antihistamine, with montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist.
Bilastine blocks histamine to relieve a blocked or runny nose, watery eyes and frequent sneezing, while montelukast blocks leukotrienes, substances that cause airway inflammation and narrowing, helping ease airway-related allergy symptoms alongside nasal symptoms.
Take this tablet as prescribed, ideally on an empty stomach or well away from meals, exactly as your doctor prescribes, and continue treatment regularly for as long as advised.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, epilepsy, or a history of mood changes, as montelukast has rarely been linked with mood or sleep disturbance. This medicine can cause drowsiness in some people, so take care while driving until you know how it affects you.
