It contains azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic that stops bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow, helping the child's immune system clear the infection. Give the dose exactly as prescribed by the paediatrician, based on the child's age and weight, and complete the full course even if the child seems better.

Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids and get adequate rest during treatment to support recovery alongside this medicine.
