CompositionASCORIL LD SYRUP 100ML is used to relieve a dry, tickly cough that does not bring up phlegm, particularly a cough triggered by seasonal allergies or the tail-end of a cold. It soothes throat irritation and reduces the urge to cough.
It contains levodropropizine, a cough suppressant that acts on the cough receptors in the airways rather than the brain, and chlorpheniramine, an antihistamine that reduces allergic symptoms such as irritation and sneezing.
Measure the dose carefully and take it as prescribed, usually three times a day. It works best taken after food.
Tell your doctor if the cough lasts more than 7 days, or comes with a high fever or thick yellow mucus. Avoid giving it to very young children unless a doctor directs."
