Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a cough with a lot of mucus, asthma, severe liver or kidney disease, glaucoma, or difficulty passing urine, and about other medicines you take. It is not suitable for children below 2 years of age. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It may cause drowsiness, so avoid driving and alcohol if affected. Contact your doctor if the cough lasts more than 2 weeks or comes with fever or breathlessness. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
