Alfusin D Tablet is used to manage the symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia) in men, improving urine flow and easing difficulty starting to urinate, a weak stream, and frequent or night-time urination.
It contains alfuzosin, an alpha-blocker that relaxes the muscles of the prostate and bladder, and dutasteride, which gradually shrinks the prostate over several months.
Take it as prescribed, and continue it, as the prostate-shrinking effect can take months. It is not used to prevent prostate cancer.
Tell your doctor about any planned cataract surgery before use, as alfuzosin can affect the operation. Women who are or may become pregnant must not handle broken or damaged tablets, as dutasteride can harm an unborn baby. Rise slowly to reduce dizziness.
