Alfugem D Tablet ER is used to manage the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adult men with an enlarged prostate. It combines alfuzosin, an alpha-blocker, and dutasteride, a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor.
The medicine helps relieve common urinary symptoms associated with BPH, including difficulty starting urination, weak urine stream, dribbling at the end of urination, frequent urination (especially at night), and the sensation of incomplete bladder emptying, which occur due to the enlarged prostate pressing on the urethra and bladder. This medicine should be taken orally as directed by your doctor.
Keeping to your follow-up appointments and prostate monitoring supports safe treatment alongside this medicine.
It's important to inform your doctor about any pre-existing conditions or ongoing medications before beginning this medicine, particularly any planned eye surgery. This medicine must not be handled by women who are or may become pregnant. Continue taking the medicine for the full duration prescribed by your doctor to achieve optimal results.
