CompositionAB Phylline 200 Tablet SR is a medicine used to treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It works by relaxing the muscles around the airways to improve breathing and reduce airway spasm.
It is a sustained-release formulation. Take it as prescribed at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole and do not crush or chew it, as this will affect how the medicine works. Continue taking it regularly even when you feel well, as stopping suddenly may cause airway symptoms to worsen. Do not stop taking this medicine abruptly without consulting your doctor.
Avoiding triggers that worsen asthma and COPD is important. Identify and avoid triggers such as smoke, pollution, pollen, pets, and cold air; maintain good air quality in your home by using air filters or opening windows; stay away from respiratory infections by avoiding sick people; and report severe breathing problems to your doctor immediately.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, liver or kidney problems, stomach ulcers, or are taking other medicines including heart medicines. Inform your doctor if you experience rapid heart rate, palpitations, or severe headache. This medicine may be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding with medical guidance.
