Contraindications of Acebrophylline

• Acebrophylline is contraindicated in patients with known allergies to acebrophylline and in patients with existing heart issues, low blood pressure and liver or kidney issues.

Medications To Avoid With Acebrophylline

• Acebrophylline may interact with quinolones, cimetidine, erythromycin, oxytetracycline, lincomycin, and cephalexin, barbiturates such as phenytoin, frusemide. 

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Taking more than the prescribed dose of Acebrophylline may cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, headache, restlessness, rapid or irregular heartbeat, and, in severe cases, seizures. These symptoms require prompt medical attention. If you suspect an overdose, contact your doctor or visit the nearest emergency unit immediately.
• If you forget to take a dose of Acebrophylline, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take two doses at the same time to make up for a missed one.

• Eat foods high in potassium, such as beets, tomatoes, bananas, asparagus, oranges, potatoes, and avocados. A potassium deficit might cause breathing issues, as potassium is essential for lung function.
• Drink lots of water every day to stay hydrated and thin mucus, which will facilitate coughing.
• Avoid foods like cabbage, beans, garlic, onions, shrimp, pickled foods, dried fruits, fried foods, wine, carbonated drinks, and bottled lemon and lime juice that might exacerbate asthma symptoms.
• Frequent exercise improves your immune system and develops your breathing muscles. Practising breathing techniques increases the amount of air that enters and exits your lungs.
