Pantocid IT Capsule is used to manage acid-related digestive conditions such as gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn, and indigestion associated with delayed stomach emptying. It reduces stomach acid production while helping food move more efficiently through the stomach, easing heartburn, bloating and nausea.
It contains pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, combined with itopride, a prokinetic agent. Take the capsule before meals as prescribed, swallowing it whole. Continue taking it as prescribed, even if your symptoms improve early, as this allows the stomach and food pipe lining time to heal.
Certain diet and lifestyle habits can help control acid reflux alongside this medicine. Eat smaller, more frequent meals, avoid spicy or fatty foods, limit caffeine and alcohol, and avoid lying down straight after eating.
Before starting this medicine, tell your doctor if you have liver disease, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are taking other medicines. Contact your doctor if you notice persistent stomach pain, unexplained weight loss, or difficulty swallowing.
