Eiref Capsule 10

Eiref Capsule 10 is used for the following:

• Management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition characterised by stomach acid frequently flowing back into the food pipe, causing heartburn and potentially harming the lining of your oesophagus.
• Handling peptic ulcer disease, which involves open sores that develop on the inner lining of your stomach and the upper portion of your small intestine.

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.
• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.
• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.
• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Eiref Capsule 10 is taken orally.

Eiref Capsule 10 contains two active ingredients which work together to manage GERD and peptic ulcers:

• Itopride (150 mg): This prokinetic agent enhances the contractions of the stomach and intestines. This action accelerates gastric emptying and enhances gastrointestinal motility, enabling food and acid to pass more swiftly and easily out of the stomach. It achieves this by blocking dopamine D2 receptors and inhibiting acetylcholinesterase.
• Pantoprazole (40 mg): As a proton pump inhibitor, pantoprazole suppresses stomach acid secretion. It achieves this by irreversibly blocking the hydrogen/potassium adenosine triphosphatase enzyme system of the gastric parietal cells, responsible for the final step in acid production. By inhibiting this pump, pantoprazole effectively reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach.

• Store Eiref Capsule 10 in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature.
• Ensure the medicine is protected from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
• Always use this medication before the expiry date printed on the package.

• If you're taking Eiref Capsule 10 for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), try to avoid fatty, spicy foods, and caffeine. These can trigger heartburn by increasing stomach acid production.
• For peptic ulcers, reduce alcohol intake. Alcohol can irritate and erode the mucous lining of your stomach, causing ulcers.
