Ora-fast Gel is used for the short-term relief of pain and irritation in the mouth caused by ulcers, dental procedures, or ill-fitting dentures.

Uses of Ora-fast Gel are:

• Mouth Ulcer Relief: Soothes pain and inflammation caused by mouth ulcers.
• Dental Procedure Comfort: Eases discomfort following minor dental treatments.
• Denture Irritation: Numbs and calms sore areas caused by denture rubbing.

To use Ora-fast Gel correctly, follow these steps:

• Begin by thoroughly washing your hands.
• Apply a thin layer of the gel directly on the affected area in your mouth using a clean finger. Gently rub it in if required.
• Avoid eating or drinking for at least half an hour after application to let the gel work effectively.
• Repeat this process three to four times daily, or as directed by your doctor.

Ora-fast Gel is applied topically.

Ora-fast Gel contains three active ingredients that work together to provide relief from pain and inflammation:

• Choline Salicylate (8.7%): This NSAID works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, substances that contribute to pain, inflammation and fever. By blocking prostaglandin synthesis, choline salicylate helps reduce swelling, redness and discomfort associated with mouth ulcers and sores.
• Lidocaine/Lignocaine (2%): This local anaesthetic provides quick pain relief by temporarily blocking nerve signals in the applied area. This numbs the region and reduces pain sensations.
• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.01%): Although primarily a preservative, it also possesses antimicrobial properties which help prevent infection in the affected areas.

The gel base of Ora-fast allows these ingredients to adhere to oral mucosa for effective action.

• Store Ora-fast Gel at a temperature below 30°C.
• Keep the tube tightly sealed when not in use.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and moisture.
• Always keep it out of children's reach.

• Maintain good oral hygiene: Regular brushing and flossing can help prevent mouth ulcers, a condition managed by Ora-fast Gel.
• Avoid spicy and acidic foods: These can irritate your mouth and exacerbate ulcer pain. Opt for soft, bland foods until your ulcers heal.
