Zedott Baby Sachet 1Gm

Zedott Baby Sachet is used for managing acute diarrhoea in infants and children, supporting recovery and hydration alongside rehydration therapy.

Uses of Zedott Baby Sachet are:

• Acute Diarrhoea: Manages acute diarrhoea in infants and children.
• Oral Rehydration Support: Assists oral rehydration solution therapy in controlling severe diarrhoea symptoms.
• Dehydration Prevention: Prevents dehydration and electrolyte imbalances due to diarrhoeal episodes.

To administer Zedott Baby Sachet 1gm:

• Pour the entire contents of Zedott Baby Sachet 1gm into a glass of water.
• Stir to dissolve it completely.
• Take it immediately after dissolving in water.
• Do not store the medication.

Zedott Baby Sachet 1gm is given orally.

Zedott Baby Sachet 1gm contains Racecadotril (10 mg) which works in the body as follows:

• It inhibits an enzyme called enkephalinase, which is present in the gut. This enzyme breaks down endogenous enkephalins, which are compounds that reduce water and electrolyte secretion in the intestines. It reduces intestinal hypersecretion by blocking enkephalinase activity. This process helps decrease fluid and electrolyte loss through diarrhoeal stools without affecting intestinal motility or transit time.

• Store Zedott Baby Sachet 1gm in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature, which is between 15℃ to 25 ℃.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and moisture.
• Keep the medicine out of reach of children.
• Always use the medicine before its expiry date.

• Ensure your child drinks plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration when they have diarrhoea.
• Provide your child with a balanced diet rich in fibre to help regulate their bowel movements.
