Composition

Empagliflozin (25 Mg)

Xenia 25 Tablet 10 is primarily used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults and children when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient. It belongs to a group of medicines called sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors.

This tablet also helps protect against heart disease, treat heart failure in adults with reduced heart function, and slow the progression of chronic kidney disease.

Before beginning this treatment, it is essential to consult your doctor regarding the correct dose and frequency tailored to your health condition. Inform your doctor about any other medicines you are taking and any pre-existing health concerns. If you experience side effects, promptly seek medical guidance. Xenia 25 Tablet 10 is used for:

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: Helps lower blood sugar levels when diet and exercise are insufficient.

Chronic Kidney Disease: Protects kidney function and delays progression of kidney impairment.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

This leads to increased glucose elimination through urine, thereby lowering blood sugar levels. Additionally, it helps reduce cardiovascular risks, supports kidney function, and improves outcomes in patients with heart failure.

Pregnancy

Xenia 25 Tablet 10 is not recommended if you are pregnant. It may harm the unborn child. Consult your doctor for alternative treatment options.

Breastfeeding

Use Xenia 25 Tablet 10 with caution while breastfeeding. It is not known whether empagliflozin passes into breast milk.

Alcohol

Alcohol consumption can increase the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia) and dehydration. Avoid excessive intake while on Xenia 25 Tablet 10.

Liver

Patients with severe liver impairment should use Xenia 25 Tablet 10 cautiously, as dose adjustments or alternative medicines may be required.

Kidney

Using Machines & Driving

Xenia 25 Tablet 10 may cause dizziness, especially if taken with insulin or sulphonylureas that lower blood sugar. Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if you feel unwell.

Allergy
