Empaneo 25 Tablet 10 is used to lower blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes alongside diet and exercise, and may also be prescribed for eligible adults with heart or kidney conditions.

Uses of Empaneo 25 Tablet 10 are:

• Type 2 diabetes: Helps lower blood sugar alongside diet and exercise.
• Heart failure: May reduce the risk of hospital admission in eligible adults with heart failure.
• Chronic kidney disease: May help slow the decline in kidney function in eligible adults.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or split the tablet.
• Take the medicine at the same time every day.
• Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully.

Empaneo 25 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Empaneo 25 Tablet 10 contains empagliflozin (25 mg):

• Empagliflozin blocks the SGLT2 protein in the kidneys, preventing glucose reabsorption into the bloodstream. This leads to increased glucose elimination through urine, thereby lowering blood sugar levels. Additionally, it helps reduce cardiovascular risks, supports kidney function, and improves outcomes in patients with heart failure.

• Do not use after the expiry date.
   

• Limit high-sugar and high-fat foods to support blood sugar control.
• Drink enough fluids to prevent dehydration.
• Engage in regular exercise such as walking or cycling, as advised by your doctor.
• Inspect your feet daily for cuts or sores, and practise good hygiene.
