CompositionVoglimac GM Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults whose blood sugar is not controlled by fewer medicines or by diet and exercise alone. It is a combination medicine containing glimepiride, metformin and voglibose.
Better blood sugar control helps reduce the long-term risk of eye, kidney and nerve damage. Take it with your first main meal, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, as voglibose needs to be present during digestion to work.
Regular balanced meals, controlled carbohydrate portions, staying active and keeping a healthy weight help keep blood sugar steady. If low blood sugar occurs, treat it with glucose tablets or glucose powder rather than table sugar, as voglibose slows the digestion of sugar.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any kidney, liver or bowel problems or regular alcohol use, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Learn the signs of low blood sugar, and tell your doctor if you are unwell with vomiting or dehydration. Speak to your doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
