CompositionVinicor-D 50 Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat essential hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults. Lowering elevated blood pressure is crucial to protect vital organs and reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications.
It combines a beta-blocker (metoprolol succinate), which slows the heart rate and reduces the workload on the heart, with a diuretic (chlorthalidone), which helps the body remove excess salt and water, reducing blood volume.
Take this tablet at a consistent time, with or without food. Do not stop taking this medication abruptly, as sudden discontinuation can worsen chest pain, trigger a heart attack, or cause rebound hypertension.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have asthma, severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a slow heart rate, gout, or diabetes. It is not recommended during pregnancy.
