TONACT EZ 10 Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol in adults, including inherited high cholesterol, by combining two cholesterol-lowering medicines, helping to lower harmful blood fats.

Uses of TONACT EZ 10 Tablet 15 are:

• High Cholesterol: Lowers harmful LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels while raising HDL cholesterol.
• Familial Hypercholesterolaemia: Helps manage inherited high cholesterol.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• The medicine should not be crushed or chewed.
• Do not alter the dosage or stop taking the medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Tonact Ez 10 Tablet 15 is taken orally.

Tonact Ez 10 Tablet 15 consists of two active ingredients that work together to control cholesterol levels:

• Atorvastatin (10 mg): This substance works by inhibiting your body's enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase. This particular enzyme plays a crucial role in forming cholesterol inside your liver. By blocking its activity, atorvastatin effectively reduces the amount of cholesterol produced in the body. It also increases the number of LDL receptors on liver cells, enhancing the uptake and breakdown of LDL cholesterol.
• Ezetimibe (10 mg): This ingredient acts at the brush border of your small intestine, inhibiting cholesterol absorption from this region. Consequently, this decreases the amount of cholesterol delivered to your liver. The reduced delivery of cholesterol to your liver results in a decrease in hepatic cholesterol stores and an increase in cholesterol clearance from your blood.
