Orvas Ez Tablet 10

Orvas-EZ Tablet is used for the following:

• Reducing high total cholesterol levels
• Lowering low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), also known as 'bad' cholesterol
• Decreasing the levels of apolipoprotein B (Apo B), a protein that carries bad cholesterol through the blood
• Cutting down triglycerides, a type of fat found in the bloodstream
• Increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), also known as 'good' cholesterol
• Managing primary hypercholesterolemia, a condition characterised by very high levels of cholesterol in the blood
• Regulating mixed dyslipidemia, a condition where there's an imbalance of fats (lipids) in the blood.

Here's how you should take Orvas-EZ Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew or split the tablet.
• The medicine can be taken with or without food.
• Always follow your doctor's advice on how often to take this medicine.

Orvas-EZ Tablet is taken orally.

Orvas-EZ Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Atorvastatin (10 mg): As an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, atorvastatin works by blocking an enzyme in your body that plays a key role in making cholesterol. This action reduces cholesterol production in the liver and increases the amount of LDL receptors on certain cells, enhancing their ability to take up and break down LDL.
• Ezetimibe (10 mg): This ingredient inhibits the absorption of cholesterol from the small intestine by blocking a specific protein called Niemann-Pick C1-Like 1 (NPC1L1). By reducing the delivery of intestinal cholesterol to the liver, ezetimibe decreases hepatic cholesterol stores and increases clearance of LDL from your bloodstream.

The combined effect of these two active ingredients provides a more potent reduction in blood cholesterol levels compared to either ingredient alone.

• Store your Orvas-EZ Tablet in a tightly sealed container.
• The ideal temperature for storage is room temperature, below 30°C.
• Keep the medicine away from direct light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.
• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
• Use the medicine before its expiry date to ensure it works as intended.

• Since Orvas-EZ Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol, you should follow a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet. This means limiting foods rich in saturated fats like red meat and full-fat dairy products, and eating more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
• Regular physical activity can also help lower your cholesterol levels. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise like brisk walking or cycling most days of the week. Always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
