It lowers LDL ('bad') cholesterol and triglycerides and raises HDL ('good') cholesterol, helping to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke, especially in people with diabetes or coronary heart disease.
It combines atorvastatin, a statin that reduces the cholesterol made by the liver, and ezetimibe, which blocks the absorption of cholesterol from food in the gut. Take it daily as prescribed, with or without food, and keep taking it even when you feel well.

Tell your doctor about any liver or kidney problems before starting, and about other medicines you take. Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, dark urine, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.
