Tobra Eye/ear Drops 10ml

Tobra Eye/ear Drops 10ml are used for managing the following conditions:

• Bacterial conjunctivitis
• Blepharitis
• Keratitis caused by susceptible bacteria
• External ear infections caused by susceptible bacteria
• Infections of the eye and its adnexa

To use Tobra Eye/ear Drops 10ml appropriately, follow these steps:

• Wash your hands thoroughly before handling the bottle.
• Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
• Instil 1–2 drops into the affected eye as prescribed.
• Close your eyes gently for 1–2 minutes without blinking excessively.
• For ear use, tilt the head to the side and instil the prescribed number of drops into the ear canal.
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface.
• Replace the cap immediately after use.
• Remove contact lenses before instillation and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting, as benzalkonium chloride may be absorbed by soft lenses.

Tobra Eye/ear Drops 10ml are instilled topically into the eye or ear.

Tobra Eye/ear Drops 10ml contains the following active ingredients:

• Tobramycin (0.3%): Tobramycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, leading to bacterial cell death. It is effective against a range of Gram-negative and certain Gram-positive organisms.
• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.02%): A quaternary ammonium compound used as a preservative to prevent microbial contamination of the solution. It also possesses mild antimicrobial properties.

• Store upright in a cool, dry place below 25°C.
• Protect from direct sunlight.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
• Do not freeze.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

• Maintain good ocular hygiene.
• Avoid touching or rubbing infected eyes.
• Wash your hands frequently to prevent the spread of infection.
• Avoid sharing towels or eye cosmetics.
• Include Vitamin A-rich foods such as carrots and leafy greens to support eye health.
