Nebracin Eye/skin Ointment 5gm is used to treat bacterial infections of the eye and skin, helping clear the infection and reduce associated redness, swelling and discharge. It contains tobramycin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic.
It is commonly prescribed for bacterial conjunctivitis, eyelid infections and minor bacterial skin infections. Apply a small amount to the affected eye or skin area as directed by your doctor, and continue for the full course even if your symptoms improve early.
Good hygiene supports recovery from eye and skin infections. Avoid touching or rubbing the affected area, wash your hands before and after application, and do not share towels, pillowcases or eye cosmetics while the infection is present.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any known allergy to aminoglycoside antibiotics or other eye or skin conditions. Stop use and contact your doctor if you notice worsening redness, swelling or vision changes.
