Tigrowal-90 Tablet may interact with the following medications, including

• Blood thinners (e.g., warfarin): Increases the risk of bleeding. Both ticagrelor and warfarin prevent blood clots, so taking them together can lead to excessive bleeding.
• Medicines that dissolve blood clots (e.g., streptokinase, alteplase): Enhances bleeding risk. This combination can cause uncontrolled bleeding, making it crucial to monitor for signs of excessive blood loss.
• NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen, celecoxib, naproxen): Increases bleeding risk. NSAIDs can irritate the stomach lining and, when combined with ticagrelor, may cause gastrointestinal bleeding.
• Rifampin (used for bacterial infections): Reduces ticagrelor’s effectiveness. Rifampin speeds up ticagrelor breakdown in the liver, making it less effective in preventing blood clots.
• Anti-seizure medicines (e.g., carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital): Reduces ticagrelor’s effectiveness. These medicines increase the metabolism of ticagrelor, leading to lower medication levels in the blood and reducing its ability to prevent clots.

• Stomach ulcers: Increases the risk of bleeding. Ticagrelor prevents blood clots, which can worsen bleeding from existing ulcers, leading to complications such as internal bleeding. Patients with a history of ulcers should use it cautiously and under medical supervision.
• Haemophilia (a bleeding disorder): Worsens bleeding tendencies. Since ticagrelor prevents blood clot formation, it can exacerbate bleeding disorders like haemophilia, making even minor injuries dangerous. It should be avoided or used with extreme caution in such patients.
• Haemorrhage (bleeding in the brain): Increases the risk of further bleeding. Ticagrelor can worsen brain haemorrhages, leading to life-threatening complications. If a patient has a history of a brain bleed, this medication is generally not recommended.
