Tigatel 40 Tablet interacts with the following medicines:

• Heart medications: Medicines like digoxin may interact with Tigatel 40 Tablet, potentially leading to slightly increased digoxin levels in your blood.

• Mood stabilisers: If taking lithium alongside Tigatel 40 Tablet, you could experience a reversible increase in lithium concentrations and toxicity.

• Pain relievers: NSAIDs such as ibuprofen and naproxen can reduce the blood pressure-lowering effects of Tigatel 40 Tablet.

• Blood pressure medications: Increased exposure to medicines such as ramipril may occur if taken in combination with Tigatel 40 Tablet.

There are no known specific food interactions with Tigatel 40 Tablet.

Tigatel 40 Tablet interacts with the following diseases:

• Liver disease: Patients with severe hepatic impairment should avoid taking Tigatel 40 Tablet due to reduced clearance of telmisartan.

• Kidney disease: In patients with renal artery stenosis, blood pressure and renal function should be closely monitored while on Tigatel 40 Tablet as deterioration of renal function may occur.

• Diabetes: For patients at risk for high potassium levels (hyperkalemia), such as those with diabetes mellitus, serum potassium should be monitored periodically when taking Tigatel 40 Tablet.

Your doctor will prescribe a daily dose of Tigatel 40 Tablet. This may be adjusted based on your individual response and the severity of your condition. Always follow the prescribed dosage and consult your doctor before making any changes.

If you suspect an overdose of Tigatel 40 Tablet, you may experience symptoms like back pain, sinusitis or diarrhoea. Don't panic, but do inform your doctor to ensure these symptoms do not worsen.

If you miss a dose of Tigatel 40 Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule. Never adjust your dosage without consulting your doctor.
