Thyronorm 75 Tablet is used to treat an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism), where the thyroid does not make enough hormone. It is a single-ingredient thyroid hormone medicine containing levothyroxine.
It replaces the hormone the thyroid is not making and relieves symptoms such as tiredness, weight gain and feeling cold. Take it on an empty stomach, ideally 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Regular blood tests check the dose.
Keep a consistent morning routine, and separate this medicine from calcium, iron, antacids and food, which can affect its absorption.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have heart problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant. Report a fast or irregular heartbeat, sweating or weight loss, which can mean the dose is too high. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
