CompositionEptoin 100 Tablet is used to control and prevent epileptic seizures in adults and children, including partial-onset and generalised tonic-clonic seizures, and to help prevent seizures after brain injury or surgery.
It contains phenytoin, an anti-epileptic medicine. It works by calming the excessive electrical activity in the brain that causes seizures.
Take it at the same time every day as prescribed. Do not stop it suddenly, and do not switch brands without your doctor's advice, as small differences can affect seizure control.
Because phenytoin has a narrow safe range and many interactions, tell your doctor about any liver disease or pregnancy and all other medicines. Report gum swelling, a skin rash, loss of balance or unusual bruising promptly.
