Contraindications

Other Medications To Avoid With This Medicine

• Some medications that interact with Thyroxine Sodium are anti-diabetic drugs like metformin, anti-acid medications like cimetidine, esomeprazole, and sucralfate, bile acid sequestrants like colesevelam, cholestyramine, estrogen-containing oral contraceptives, blood thinners like warfarin, medicines used to manage heart conditions like digitalis, and antidepressants like amitriptyline and maprotiline.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of this medication may cause irregular heartbeat, muscle spasms, headache, nervousness, irritability, difficulty sleeping, tremors, muscle weakness, increased appetite, weight loss, diarrhoea, heat intolerance, menstrual irregularities, and skin rash. If you observe these symptoms, inform your doctor and follow the advice accordingly.
• If you forget to take this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. But avoid repeating the dose.
