Thyronorm 37.5mcg Tablet is used to treat an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) by replacing the thyroid hormone the body lacks. This low strength is used to start treatment cautiously or to fine-tune the dose.

It contains levothyroxine, a thyroid hormone. It works by replacing the hormone the thyroid gland is not making enough of.

Take it once a day on an empty stomach, 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast, at the same time each morning. Keep at least four hours between it and calcium, iron or antacids, and do not switch brands without medical advice.

Tell your doctor about any heart disease, adrenal problems, diabetes or osteoporosis before use. Dose needs change in pregnancy and should be reviewed promptly. Report palpitations, tremor or sweating, which can mean the dose is too high.
