Fortius-10 Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol and control mixed dyslipidemia. It helps slow the progression of atherosclerosis, reducing the risk of heart attacks and strokes. It also addresses familial hypercholesterolemia, a genetic condition leading to high cholesterol, and promotes long-term heart health.

Here's how to use Fortius-10 Tablet properly:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Don't crush or chew the tablet.

• Stick to your doctor's recommended dose; don't self-adjust your dosage.

Fortius-10 Tablet is taken orally.

Fortius-10 Tablet contains rosuvastatin (10 mg) and works in your body as follows:

• Increasing LDL receptor density: Rosuvastatin increases LDL receptor density on liver cells, enhancing the uptake and breakdown of LDL, better known as "bad" cholesterol from your bloodstream.

• Reducing hepatic synthesis of VLDL: Rosuvastatin inhibits hepatic synthesis of VLDL, which is a precursor that gets converted to LDL. By doing so, it reduces the total number of particles that can lead to artery-clogging plaques.

This dual action helps effectively lower total cholesterol levels in your body while modestly raising HDL or "good" cholesterol levels contributing to heart health.

• Store Fortius-10 Tablet at a temperature that doesn't exceed 30°C.
