Thyronorm 12.5 Tablet is used to treat an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) by replacing the thyroid hormone the body is short of. It eases symptoms such as tiredness, weight gain and low energy, and is also used to help manage goitre and thyroid cancer.

It contains levothyroxine (thyroxine), which works in the same way as the body's natural thyroid hormone to restore normal metabolism.

Take it once a day on an empty stomach, usually in the morning at least 30 minutes before food, and take it consistently every day.

Your dose is set by blood tests and may be adjusted over time. Report a racing heartbeat, sweating, restlessness or weight loss, which can suggest the dose is too high.
