Eritel Am Tablet 15

Eritel-AM Tablet is used to manage the following health conditions:

• High blood pressure or hypertension

• Prevention of heart and kidney problems associated with hypertension

• Angina pectoris or chest pain, specifically to increase exercise ability and decrease the frequency of angina attacks.

Here are the instructions to follow while taking Eritel-AM Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Take it at the same time each day for the best results.

• It can be taken with or without food.

• Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor.

Eritel-AM Tablet is taken orally.

Eritel-AM Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This ingredient selectively prevents angiotensin II from binding to the AT1 receptors in various tissues including vascular smooth muscle and adrenal gland. As a result of this inhibition, the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II are reduced, leading to a decrease in blood pressure levels. Notably, Telmisartan does not inhibit ACE (kinase II), which breaks down bradykinin.

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This component functions by blocking the entry of calcium ions into the vascular smooth muscle cells and cardiac muscle cells. The blockage causes blood vessels to relax, leading to a reduction in peripheral vascular resistance and hence lowering blood pressure. Additionally, it dilates coronary arteries, improving the supply of blood to the heart muscle.

• Keep Eritel-AM Tablet at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

• Safeguard the medicine from light and moisture; store it in a dry place.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Remember to use Eritel-AM Tablet before the expiry date mentioned on the packaging.

• Opt for a low-salt diet. High salt intake can raise blood pressure levels, negating the effects of Eritel-AM Tablet which is meant to manage hypertension.

• Limit alcohol consumption as it can enhance some side effects of Eritel-AM Tablet such as dizziness or lightheadedness.
