Uses of Tazloc-CT 80 Tablet are:

• Essential Hypertension: Helps lower high blood pressure in adults.
• Mild to Moderate Hypertension: Helps control both systolic and diastolic blood pressure in people with mild to moderate hypertension.

Here's how you should take Tazloc-CT 80 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• It can be taken with or without food.

• Avoid taking it within 4 hours of bedtime to reduce nighttime urination.

• Do not take more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

Tazloc-CT 80 Tablet consists of two active ingredients; each working differently to help manage hypertension:

• Chlorthalidone (12.5 mg): This ingredient works in a specific part of your kidneys known as the cortical diluting segment in the ascending limb of the loop of Henle. It enhances the excretion of sodium, chloride, and water from the body, leading to increased urination and reduction in plasma and extracellular fluid volume. This action decreases cardiac output and peripheral vascular resistance, thereby reducing high blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (80 mg): Telmisartan selectively attaches to angiotensin II type-1 (AT1) receptors in your body blocking the constricting effect on blood vessels and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II. This action does not affect other hormone receptors or ion channels involved in cardiovascular regulation.
