Silodal 4 Capsule is used for the following:

• Managing symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia: This refers to a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland, which can cause discomfort and urinary issues.

• Easing difficulty in passing urine: This medication helps to reduce the strain when urinating, making it less painful and more comfortable.

• Reducing frequent urination: This medicine can help decrease the need for frequent trips to the toilet by improving bladder control.

• Improving weak urine stream: It can help strengthen the urine flow, making it easier to empty the bladder fully.

Here's how you can take Silodal 4 Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. Avoid crushing or opening it.

• Remember to take your medicine at the same time each day for optimal effect.

• It's best to take this medicine with food, as it helps in better absorption.

Silodal 4 Capsule contains silodosin (4 mg), which acts on the body through the following mechanisms:

• Alpha-1 Adrenergic Receptor Blocker: Silodosin works by selectively blocking alpha-1 adrenergic receptors in the body. These receptors are mainly located around the bladder neck, urethra, and prostate gland.

• Relaxation of Smooth Muscles: By blocking these receptors, silodosin causes relaxation of the smooth muscles surrounding these areas. This helps in improving the flow of urine and relieving urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate pressing on the urethra.

• Store your Silodal 4 Capsule at room temperature, specifically below 30°C.

• Safely tuck it away, out of reach from children and pets.

• Use the medicine before the expiry date mentioned on the package.
