Xylocaine 2% Jelly 50Gm

Xylocaine 2% Jelly is used as a local anaesthetic to temporarily numb the skin, mucous membranes, and other sensitive areas to reduce pain and discomfort during medical, dental, and diagnostic procedures. It contains Lidocaine (Lignocaine) 2%, which works by temporarily blocking the transmission of pain signals from the nerves in the treated area. This provides localised numbness and makes procedures such as catheterisation, examinations, minor surgical procedures, and dental interventions more comfortable. The jelly should be applied only to the required area and in the amount recommended by your healthcare professional to ensure safe and effective use.

• Lignocaine Hydrochloride (2.000% W/V): Lignocaine hydrochloride is a local anaesthetic that may temporarily reduce the sensation of pain at the application site by decreasing nerve signal transmission. It provides local numbness during minor procedures and can reduce discomfort associated with minor cuts, injuries, piles, and fissures. 
   
• Other Ingredients: Methylparaben I.P.: 0.061% w/v (as a preservative), Propylparaben I.P.: 0.027% w/v (as preservatives), and Water-soluble gel base in Purified Water I.P.: q.s.

• Temporary Local Anaesthesia: Xylocaine 2% Jelly helps provide temporary local anaesthesia by numbing the application area and reducing pain and discomfort.
   
• Minor Medical Procedures: It may be used to reduce discomfort during certain minor medical procedures when local numbing of the affected area is required.

• Apply a small amount to the affected area as directed by your healthcare professional.
• Use only on the specific area requiring temporary numbness or pain relief.
• Gently spread the jelly over the area without vigorous rubbing.
• Avoid contact with the eyes and swallowing unless specifically directed.
• Wash your hands before and after application.
• Do not use more frequently or in larger amounts than recommended.
