Maxvoid 4 Tablet is used to manage benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adult men, a condition where the prostate gland becomes enlarged. It helps ease urinary symptoms such as difficulty starting urination, a weak urine stream, frequent night-time urination, and a feeling of incomplete bladder emptying.
It contains silodosin, an alpha-blocker. It works by relaxing the muscles around the bladder neck and prostate, allowing urine to flow more easily. Take it with food as prescribed, ideally at the same meal each day. Continue taking it regularly, as stopping the medicine suddenly may cause your urinary symptoms to return.
Lifestyle adjustments can support urinary comfort alongside this medication. These include reducing fluid intake before bedtime, limiting caffeine and alcohol, and avoiding holding urine for long periods.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have severe kidney or liver disease, low blood pressure, or are planning cataract or glaucoma surgery. Tell your eye surgeon you are taking this medicine, as it can affect eye muscles during surgery.
