Rozustat F Tablet 10

Rozustat F Tablet is used for managing the following conditions:

• High cholesterol levels, including both familial and non-familial varieties

• Mixed dyslipidemia: A condition wherein there's an imbalance of lipids in the bloodstream

• High triglyceride levels, specifically Fredrickson Type IV and V

• Low HDL-C or 'good' cholesterol levels in patients with high risk of coronary heart disease

• Slowing down the progression of atherosclerosis as part of a strategy to reduce overall cholesterol levels and LDL-C or 'bad' cholesterol

• Reduction in risk of heart attacks, strokes, and revascularization procedures for patients without coronary heart disease but with multiple risk factors.

To use Rozustat F Tablet properly, follow these steps:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water. Don't crush, chew or split it.

• You don't need to time it around meals. It can be taken with or without food.

• Only take the dose your doctor has recommended.

• If you're unsure about anything related to your dosage or how to take it, it's best to consult your doctor.

Rozustat F Tablet is taken orally.

Rozustat F Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Rosuvastatin (10 mg): This ingredient works by blocking a key enzyme in our body called HMG-CoA reductase that helps form cholesterol. It also helps increase the number of receptors on the surface of liver cells that gobble up LDL ("bad") cholesterol from the blood. Reducing this enzyme's activity leads to lower levels of harmful cholesterol in the blood.

• Fenofibrate (67 mg): This component activates Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor α (PPARα). This increase leads to more enzymes breaking down fats (lipolysis) and reduces protein production that carries fatty acids. The result is a reduction in VLDL and triglycerides, which are types of harmful cholesterol. It also helps produce more HDL ("good") cholesterol.

• Store Rozustat F Tablet in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays below 30°C.

• Avoid direct sunlight, as this might damage the medicine.

• Keep it out of reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion.

• Make sure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• Maintain a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet. Foods high in unhealthy fats raise your bad cholesterol and lower your good cholesterol, worsening the conditions Rozustat F Tablet is managing.

• Regular physical activity can help lower your bad cholesterol and raise your good cholesterol. Aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise every day.
