Rivaban 20 Tablet 14 is used to prevent and treat harmful blood clots. It is used to lower the risk of stroke in people with an irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation), to treat and prevent clots in the legs (deep vein thrombosis) and lungs (pulmonary embolism), and to prevent clots after hip or knee replacement surgery.
It contains rivaroxaban, an anticoagulant ("blood thinner") that reduces the blood's ability to form clots. Take it as prescribed. Do not stop it without medical advice, as this can raise the risk of clots.
Taking doses at the same time each day, not missing doses, and telling all your healthcare providers and dentist that you take a blood thinner support safe treatment alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any bleeding problems, liver or kidney disease before starting, and about other medicines you take, especially other blood thinners or anti-inflammatory painkillers. Report any unusual bruising, nosebleeds, blood in the urine or stools, or bleeding that does not stop.
