Rivaban 15 Tablet 14 is used to prevent and treat blood clots. It lowers the risk of stroke in people with an irregular heartbeat (non-valvular atrial fibrillation), treats and prevents clots in the deep veins (deep vein thrombosis) and lungs (pulmonary embolism), and prevents clots after hip or knee replacement surgery.
It contains rivaroxaban, an anticoagulant (""blood thinner"") that reduces the blood's tendency to clot. Take it exactly as prescribed, usually with the evening meal, and do not stop it without medical advice, as this can raise the risk of clots.
Taking doses regularly and telling any doctor or dentist that you take this medicine support safe treatment alongside it.
Tell your doctor about any bleeding problems, or kidney or liver problems, before starting, and about other medicines you take. Report black or bloody stools, vomiting blood, unusual bruising, prolonged bleeding, or a severe headache.
