Rivaban 10 Tablet is used to manage and prevent blood clots in conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism. It also may help reduce the risk of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation and may help reduce cardiovascular risk in people with coronary artery disease and those recovering after surgery. By preventing clot formation, it supports safer blood flow and may help reduce the risk of life-threatening cardiovascular complications.

Here are some instructions to follow while taking Rivaban 10 Tablet:

• Swallow it whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• It can be taken with or without food as directed.

• Do not take more than the advised dose unless your doctor tells you to do so.

• It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Rivaban 10 Tablet is taken orally.

Rivaban 10 Tablet contains rivaroxaban (10 mg), which works on your body as follows:

• Factor Xa Inhibition: Rivaroxaban selectively blocks the activity of factor Xa, an important protein involved in blood coagulation. This process involves the transformation of liquid blood into a solid mass to prevent excessive bleeding.

• Decreased Thrombin Generation: By inhibiting factor Xa, rivaroxaban effectively decreases thrombin generation. Thrombin is another critical protein that facilitates clot formation.

• Clot Prevention: The overall effect of rivaroxaban's action is a significant reduction in clot formation in your blood vessels, helping prevent dangerous conditions like DVTs and PEs.

• Store your Rivaban 10 Tablet at room temperature, ideally around 20 to 25 degrees Celsius.

• Keep the product in a cool, dry place, away from direct light and moisture.

• Ensure it's kept out of the reach and sight of children.

• Always check the expiry date before use. If it's expired, please discard appropriately.

• If you're taking Rivaban 10 Tablet to manage deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism, consider wearing compression stockings to help improve blood flow in your legs.

• As this medication is also used for stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation, maintaining a heart-healthy diet with less salt and saturated fats can be beneficial.
