Redotil Capsule 15

Redotil Capsule is used to treat acute diarrhoea by reducing excessive fluid secretion in the intestines. It helps decrease the frequency of loose stools and eases abdominal cramps without affecting normal bowel movement, promoting quicker recovery from diarrhea and ensuring comfort during the process.

• Take the Redotil capsule with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the capsule. Swallow it whole.
• Complete the entire course of treatment even if you start feeling better.

Redotil capsule is administered orally.

Redotil capsule contains Racecadotril (100 MG) as the active ingredient that acts by:

• Inhibiting enkephalinase enzyme which leads to increased levels of enkephalin that acts on the small intestine, reducing the secretion of water and electrolytes without affecting the intestinal motility.

• To ensure the quality and effectiveness of Redotil capsule, follow these storage guidelines:
• Store the medicine at room temperature (15-25ºC) in a cool and dry place.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Redotil capsules out of the reach of children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date mentioned on the packaging.

In addition to taking Redotil capsule, certain dietary and lifestyle measures can help manage diarrhoea effectively:

• Individual food tolerance varies, so avoid consuming foods that trigger diarrhoea.
• Diarrhoea can lead to dehydration and mineral loss, so restore fluid and mineral balance with water, broth, fruit juices, etc.
• Maintain sufficient potassium levels by consuming foods rich in potassium, such as ripe bananas, apricots, potatoes, fish, and meat.
• Drink fluids in between meals and opt for frequent small meals.
• Reduce intake of fatty, fried, and heavily spiced foods to manage diarrhoea better.
• If you regularly consume milk, avoid it during episodes of diarrhoea.
