Oxetol 600 Tablet is used to control partial and generalised seizures in adults and children with epilepsy. Regular use helps reduce seizure frequency and allows better day-to-day function. It contains oxcarbazepine, an anticonvulsant.
Oxcarbazepine works by decreasing abnormal and excessive activity of nerve cells in the brain, which helps control both partial and generalised seizures.
Take this tablet at the same times each day, with or without food, exactly as your child's doctor prescribes, and never change your dose without medical advice.
Do not stop this medicine suddenly, even if you feel well, as abruptly stopping an anti-epileptic medicine can trigger seizures. Tell your child's doctor if you notice unusual weakness, confusion, or muscle cramps, as this medicine can occasionally lower blood sodium levels.
