Oxetol 300 Tablet is used to control partial-onset seizures in adults and children aged 2 years and over with epilepsy, on its own or alongside other anti-epileptic medicines.
It contains oxcarbazepine (300 mg), an anti-epileptic medicine. Take it as prescribed; do not stop it suddenly without medical advice.
A regular routine with good sleep, taking doses on time and avoiding alcohol support your treatment alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, history of low sodium levels or heart failure before starting, and about other medicines you take, including hormonal contraceptives (oxcarbazepine can reduce their effectiveness). Report confusion, unusual headache or tiredness, as these may be signs of low sodium. Report any skin rash, as rare serious skin reactions can occur.
