Oxetol 300 Tablet is an anti-epileptic medicine used to treat partial-onset seizures in adults and children aged 2 years and older. It helps manage epilepsy by controlling abnormal electrical activity in the brain, thereby reducing the frequency and severity of seizures. It can be prescribed alone or in combination with other anti-seizure medications.
It contains oxcarbazepine (300 mg). Take it regularly as directed by your doctor, with or without food. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, as doing so may cause your seizures to return or worsen.
Establishing a daily routine, ensuring adequate rest, avoiding sleep deprivation, and limiting alcohol intake can support seizure control alongside your regular treatment.
Before taking Oxetol 300 Tablet, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, heart problems, or a history of low blood sodium levels. Inform your doctor if you are using hormonal birth control, as oxcarbazepine can reduce its effectiveness. Contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience signs of low sodium (such as confusion, severe tiredness, or headache) or if a skin rash develops.
