Oxetol 450 Tablet contains oxcarbazepine and is used to manage partial seizures in adults and children aged 6 years and above. It works by reducing abnormal electrical activity in the brain, thus preventing seizures. It belongs to the antiepileptic class of medications.

In addition to its main use, this tablet also plays a role in stabilising electrical activity within the brain, thus helping to manage the frequency and intensity of seizure episodes. It works by decreasing abnormal excitement in the brain, which is often associated with seizures.

Follow these instructions while taking Oxetol 450 Tablet:

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Avoid cutting, crushing or chewing the tablet.
Take this medicine with or without food at your convenience.
Do not take more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

Diminution of Synaptic Impulse Propagation: This essentially means that oxcarbazepine reduces the spread of electrical signals from one nerve cell to another at synapses (the junctions where nerve cells meet). This action further assists in managing seizure activity.

Pregnancy

Caution is advised while taking Oxetol 450 Tablet if you are pregnant. It is best to consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Breastfeeding
