CompositionOrnida Tablet is a medicine used to treat bacterial and parasitic infections of the intestines, stomach, and other infections caused by anaerobic bacteria. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing ornidazole, an anti-parasitic and anti-anaerobic agent.
This medicine works by destroying the DNA of the organisms causing the infection, halting their growth and clearing the underlying condition. It may also be prescribed for certain post-surgical infections and in combination therapy for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)-associated stomach ulcers.
Take this tablet as prescribed and complete the full course of treatment, even if your symptoms improve early, to ensure the infection is fully cleared.
Tell your doctor about any existing liver conditions or other medicines you take before starting this tablet. Avoid alcohol during treatment, as it can cause an unpleasant reaction.
