OPOX Oral Drops is used to treat various bacterial infections in children, including those affecting the ears, nose, throat, lungs and urinary tract. It contains cefpodoxime, part of the cephalosporin class, highly effective against a broad range of common childhood infections.
Cefpodoxime works by stopping bacteria from building their protective cell wall, which kills the bacteria and clears the infection, helping relieve associated symptoms in young children.
Give these drops to your child using the dropper provided, at the dose your doctor prescribes based on your child's age and weight, usually with food, and complete the full course even if your child feels better early.
tell your child's doctor if your child has a known allergy to penicillins or cephalosporins. Report persistent loose motions (diarrhoea) or a rash developing during treatment.
