Cefredrox Oral Drops 10ml are used to treat bacterial infections in children.

Uses of Cefredrox Oral Drops 10ml are:

• Ear, Nose and Throat Infections: Treats tonsillitis, sinusitis and ear infections.
• Chest Infections: Treats pneumonia and chest infections.
• Urinary Infections: Treats urinary tract infections.

You should give Cefredrox Oral Drops 10ml in the following way: 

• Shake the bottle well to loosen the powder.
• Use the enclosed sterile water supplied with this pack to reconstitute the powder up to the ring mark on the bottle.
• Use the provided dropper to measure the correct dose of the drops.
• Keep the bottle well-capped after use.
• Give the medicine in the dosage and frequency prescribed by your doctor.
• Do not stop giving this medication without consulting your doctor first.
• Store it in the refrigerator when not in use.

Cefredrox Oral Drops 10ml contains the following component:

• Cefpodoxime Proxetil (25 Mg): It is a cephalosporin antibiotic that works by inhibiting the formation of bacterial cell walls. By disrupting this process, it weakens the bacteria's defence mechanism. The cell wall is crucial for bacteria to protect themselves and maintain their internal structure. When the cell wall is compromised, the internal pressure becomes unbalanced, leading to the rupture (lysis) of the bacterial cell. This causes the bacterium to die, effectively eliminating the infection.

The storage instructions for Cefredrox Oral Drops 10ml are as follows:

• Store these drops at room temperature, around 25°C, and protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use this medication once it has passed its expiry date.

• Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids to help prevent dehydration, especially since diarrhea can be a possible side effect of antibiotics like Cefredrox Oral Drops 10ml.
