Swich Drops are used to treat infections in children, including ear infections, throat infections, sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and skin infections. Giving your child Swich Drops involves the following steps:

• Ensure to shake the bottle well before use.

• Use the provided measuring dropper to give the correct dose to your child.

• The medicine can be given with or without food.

Swich Drops contain cefpodoxime proxetil (25 mg) which works on the body in the following ways:

• Inhibits Cell Wall Synthesis: Cefpodoxime proxetil disrupts the formation of bacterial cell walls by binding to and inactivating penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs). These proteins are vital enzymes needed to create the bacterial cell wall.

• Kills Susceptible Bacteria: By blocking cell wall synthesis, cefpodoxime proxetil effectively leads to the death of susceptible bacteria. This action helps manage and prevent the spread of infections in your child's body.

• Store Swich Drops in a cool, dry place, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine away from direct sunlight and heat.

• Once opened, store the suspension in the refrigerator and use it within 10 days.

• Ensure it's always out of your child's reach.

• For throat infections managed by Swich Drops, encourage your child to drink warm liquids like herbal tea or hot water with honey to soothe the throat.

• If your child has a urinary tract infection, increase their fluid intake to help flush out bacteria. Avoid giving them citrus juices as these can irritate the bladder.
